Keynote Bios

Jesse L. Berry, MD

Jesse L. Berry, MD is the Chief of Ophthalmology, Director of the Vision Center, and Director of the Ocular Oncology and Retinoblastoma Programs at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She completed a fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles under the mentorship of Dr. Kim and A. Linn Murphree, MD, who founded the Retinoblastoma Program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Berry’s retinoblastoma research is supported by the National Cancer Institute. 

Mitch Hendry, MSc, CGC

Mitch Hendry is a retinoblastoma survivor and long-term partner in CRRAB activities. He completed his Master’s Degree in Genetic Counselling at the University of British Columbia in 2024 and achieved board certification in February 2026. He is a member of the Genomic Research Genetic Counsellors and Project Coordinator for the SkinGene Registry Study at SickKids. In this role, Mitch studies rare genetic skin conditions and is an advocate for patient involvement in research.
